Skin Care Review: Klairs Cleansing Combo!

It's been a while since I last wrote about skin care. Although I have tried some new products, they probably weren't that fascinating or I was preoccupied with something else. Now I got the opportunity to try 2 products from Klairs thanks to I'll quickly introduce both of these and let you know what I think about them! :)

The brand itself is completely new to me. I've seen it on Wishtrend before, but so far hadn't tried it myself. According to their website Klairs was established in Seoul, South Korea in 2010. The products can be used either separately or mixed together. So far I've been using the cleansing oil more often, though, since face scrubs aren't good for daily use.

My thoughts:

First of all, I must say that I really like the packages and design of these products. I actually think the packaging is very important. If the products look nice then I'll feel happy seeing them in my bathroom and using them. I wonder if anyone else feels that way too?

The cleansing oil has a really nice fresh scent which makes it pleasant to use. I noticed it right away when I first tried the product. Back then I was afraid that oil would feel gross on skin, like some oily makeup removers, but this product wasn't anything like that. Despite its name the oil is actually transparent and turns into a white milky liquid when mixed with water. The product really does everything the description says: it removes makeup effectively, moisturizes skin and leaves it feeling refreshed.

Black Sugar Facial Polish reminds me of Skinfood's famous 'Black Sugar Scrub' which I used to own. Comparing these two, I think Klairs' scrub feels more gentle on skin and is a better moisturizer as well. My skin felt very soft and polished after using the product. However, there are two tiny things to complain about.

Firstly, the scent of this product is somewhat weird. It's not very strong and it doesn't linger, so you'll hardly notice it, but when I first received it, of course, I had to put my nose in it and sniff it. Some people say they like it, though.

Second thing is that it's pretty thick and gets stuck under my nails if I try to get it out with my fingers. So I'd suggest to use a spatula or something like that. Unfortunately they didn't include one with the product. Other than that it's a nice exfoliator.

The polish looks like honey mixed with sugar, which it actually is! Since it also includes beeswax. (Ingredients listed above.) It doesn't feel sticky, though.

In conclusion, I still love both of these products. Like their names suggest, they really are very gentle. Although, I do think the facial polish is best when mixed with the cleansing oil. So if you have both of these, you should definitely try that. :) My skin felt super soft & clean after using them and I'm pretty sure I'll keep using these from now on until they are empty.

Have you heard of Klairs before?
Would you like to try any of their products?
