Buying your wedding dress online?

I'm not about to get married or anything, but I got an offer to write on this topic and it seems pretty intriguing. Nowadays more and more brides consider the idea of buying their wedding dresses online - the variety is bigger, you can take your time choosing, it's more comfortable and the prices could be better too. On the other hand it can be quite risky. After all, you can't try anything on before they arrive. Which is why you need to know exactly where to shop and which stores to trust

So, to help all the brides out there, I'm going to introduce you millybridalshop.com and share a few tips about choosing the right dress.

 &

I decided to put together a few examples of their dresses. Maybe because I'm used to posting that way. Or maybe because they are simply too beautiful to look at.

 &

These two look rather different from a typical wedding dress, but would probably look good on some unique bride.

 &

The more I look at these photos the more I realize I'm probably the type who would want their wedding dress to be as puffy as possible. Although, a big dress goes with a big wedding. Which is why they have some simple designs on their website as well.

 &

Have you ever looked at wedding dresses before? What kind of a dress would you like to wear one day?

Here's a list of things to note before purchasing a wedding dress online:

1. What's your body type? You should know which silhouettes, necklines and waistlines flatter your figure. On photos all dresses look good, but you also need to know which kind of dresses look best on you.
2. Take your measurements. Even if you think you know your size, you should still review the size chart. Each designer has their own standard sizing policy that can differ from the dresses you have worn previously. Some people order a size bigger so they can alter the dress to fit them perfectly.
3. Fabrics. If you want to know exactly what the dress material will be like you can request some fabric swatches. That way you can see the color and quality up-close.
4. Buy ahead in time. Take your time choosing, but don't leave your purchase on last minute. There's always a chance that you need to get your dress resized or return it to exchange the size.

There you go. Planning a wedding can be a hassle. So maybe it's a good idea to do some of your shopping online instead. And hopefully Milly Bridal Shop can help with that. :)
