3 Concept Eyes Fitting Cushion Foundation #001

Cushion foundation/bb cushion is the next hot beauty trend from Korea. I might be a bit late trying it out, but nevertheless it's still a newer trend than bb & cc creams!

So, a cushion is basically just a sponge soaked in liquid foundation/bb cream that comes in a compact with a mirror - making it super easy to carry with you and touch-up. And today I'm introducing you 3CE Fitting Cushion Foundation that was launched just recently.

3 Concept Eyes is a mid-range cosmetics brand under Style Nanda. Their prices are above average, but not as expensive as high-end cosmetics like Sulwhasoo. I wasn't too impressesed with their eye crayon that I reviewed back in September, but I do think the brand deserves a second chance. So keep reading to find out my thoughts on this cushion foundation! :)

The cushion comes with a refill (12g) + extra ruby cell puff. So you get 24g of product with your first purchase and 2 puffs to use.

Whitening, anti-wrinkle & UV protection - sounds like every other Korean base makeup product, right? However, I must say that it's ingredient list looks extremely skin friendly!

The reason it's called foundation instead of bb cream is probably because of it's high coverage. I'm very impressed with it, to be honest. You get very little product on the cell puff, but the coverage is seriously good! Maybe even too much if you prefer a natural look.

I also found it to be very long-wearing. I actually had it on for a 19 hour trip the other day & only had to touch up my nose once. I did wear it with a setting powder, though, so I guess that helped too.

The cell puff feels a bit stiff, so the application around nose & eyes can be a bit tricky, but overall I like how it makes the foundation look on my skin.

The shade #001 is very light. For example, it's lighter than my MAC NW15 foundation. (EDIT: you can see it swatched here). It works well for me though & Koreans in general want to use a foundation that makes their skin look lighter. However, if your skin tone is N20 or above you might find #002 to be a better choice. :)

I realize this review could have been a bit more detailed, so if you are interested in extra photos please make a request, because I'd be happy to take them for you. And if you have any questions about the product, you are welcome to ask! :)

Final verdict: It's a great cushion foundation & I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a high coverage cushion. However, if you prefer lighter coverage you might want to try the 3CE Tinted Moisture Cushion CC instead.

Where to buy?

The original price of 3CE Fitting Cushion Foundation at Stylenanda is 39,000 won ($33), but once you visit their English site it magically turns into $43 (+ shipping!)

However, TesterKorea is also selling it for 39,000 won and at the checkout the final price is $34 + shipping. So I recommend buying from TesterKorea instead + their shipping is also very reasonable. :)
This product was sent to me on review purpose by BNT News. Visit their website to be up to date with all the latest Korean entertainment news & trends!

  1. 3CE's products are always so sleek! Thank you for telling us how testerkorea is a much better price to buy at rather than 3ce's main site :)

    1. I agree! However I don't like it when they look too much like MAC copies! :D This one doesn't, so I had no negative prejudice. :)

And no problem, I've noticed that many Korean brands including Etude House are selling overpriced products on their official (english) sites.

  2. omg the packaging is soooo cute!!
Its abit costly but I shall try it soon aswell! It would be nice to see photos with you with this product in sunlight and normal light as it would show us readers the contrast of how light and dark it is!! keep up the good work!

    1. I recommend trying it!

The sunlight part might be a bit tricky since we have none at the moment, but I'll try to post some full face shots for you soon! :)

  3. This sounds so promising ! How does it work with oily but dehydrated skin? I'm currently using Innisfree Long Wear Cushion and it clumps on my skin during the winter :// I liked it during the autumn though :--) It lasted through a concert so it's pretty well I think :D

    1. Well I can't tell from my experience since my skin isn't oily nor too dry, but I read a review saying it doesn't really hold off oil on it's own. I think there are some sort of primers that would help with the clumping, though? :)

    2. My problem with primers is that they clog my pores and break me out :// I guess it's the silicon in primers. But I think this would be worth trying still ^^
