MAC 'Back in Vogue' Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour

This right here must be one of the most exciting products MAC has released in a while - their new liquid lipstick! However, MAC was actually a bit late to the game with these, but neverthless! The one I've got to show you today is called "Back in Vouge" which is described as peachy coral.

You apply it like a lipgloss, however it has a creamy mousse-like formula that dries down to a matte finish and is completely smudge-proof & very longwearing.

They look a bit dry on lips, though, but then again if they weren't dry, they wouldn't stay on as well as they do. So I advise you to take extra good care of your lips in order to wear these without the dryness issue. Perhaps try a lip mask?

Here's how "Back in Vogue" looked on me:

The formula kind of emphasizes the texture of my lips, but I think it looks ok? I haven't done any special treatment for my lips this winter either, so maybe I should.

I do like the shade, though, and I also like the product, because of it's longevity. In fact, I was totally amazed by how long it stayed on! :)

However, I haven't tried any other liquid lipsticks, so I can't really say for sure whether MAC is the one to go for or not.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolours cost $20 and can be purchased from maccosmetics.com, Nordstrom, Dillard's or MAC counters.

Have you tried any liquid lipsticks? What is your opinion on them?

    1. I didn't really count how many hours it was, but it survives eating or drinking pretty well! :)
