#SHEETMASKING: Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks in Manuka Honey

One of my new years resolutions was to try more sheet masks in 2016, because so far I have never managed to use them regularly. The reason I put them off for so long is probably because there's such a huge variety out there, for a sheet mask newbie it's quite hard to decide which ones to go for.

However, Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Masks Manuka Honey x3 set had been in my shopping cart on Ebay for a while. In fact, I couldn't even remember when and why I put them in there. But I finally decided to check out in 2016. I like honey in my skin care so I might as well start with these, right?

The set itself was rather affordable. I paid $4.23 for 3 masks. The seller iamlove-shop is also familiar to me, since it's actually Jolse.com's ebay store.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Betaine, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Honey Extract, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tangerine Peel Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance. Honey Extract is great for moisturizing and can reduce inflammation. However, this sheet mask also contains an array of different fruit extracts.

The masks had a subtle honey-like scent & my skin felt super silky and smooth after using them. I definitely got a good moisture boost from it and, considering the price of these masks, you shouldn't expect much more anyway. So overall, I thought it was a good set to start with.

However, my boyfriend also tried one with me and experienced mild redness/irritation after removing the mask. He's not allergic to honey, so it could be from the alcohol consistency of this mask. Luckily it wasn't a major irritation and went away quickly.

Bottom line: this mask worked well for me, but you shouldn't use it if your skin is very sensitive to alcohol.

Anyway, this post will end here, because I don't feel confident about writing a long and detailed review on sheet masks yet. I've already got some My Beauty Diary masks on the way, though, so it will be interesting to see how they compare! And maybe test one on Mr.Yukitty too.

Interested? You can get this set for $4.23 from Ebay! :)

  1. I've tried this mask before too! I also had a slight irritation to it when I used it. My face got a little itchy but it all went away after a while! I hope to see the My Beauty Diary masks review!

    1. I'm definitely going to review these as well! :) I recon my boyfriend is a good subject for testing since his skin seems to be more sensitive than mine. :D It'll be interesting to see if MBD masks will perform better! :)
