MAC Matchmaster Concealer For Contouring

When it comes to contouring, I'm more of a "subtle shading" type of gal. I've been using a light contouring powder for some time, however I recently tried out another contouring method with a stick concealer called MAC Matchmaster Concealer
  • Description: A moisturizing formula that's suitable for humid climates and all skin types.
  • Size: 3,5g / 0,12oz
  • Color selection: 12 shades

The shade I have is 7.0. It has a warm undertone and it's a lot darker than my skin tone. I was a bit hesistant to try it at first, but then decided to simply go with it and see how it goes.

I found that it provides about medium coverage and is a lot creamier than most stick concealers. It was a bit hard to blend, but then again, that's probably because the shade is a lot darker than my own skin tone. I ended up tapping some cushion foundation all over it to even things out, but in the end, it did provide the "subtle shading" I was going for.

So I think this stick concealer is definitely useable for contouring, but I recommend buying a shade that's only a bit darker than your skin tone.

It would also be a good choice, if you are looking for a stick concealer that's not too drying. However, you should keep in mind that you only get 3,5g of product with it, so it can run out quickly!

  1. I definitely want to try this out because it looks so flawless on your skin! I find that some contour sticks are a bit stubborn and don't blend as well :)
