The SAEM Cover Perfection Tip Concealer #1 Clear Beige

The SAEM Cover Perfection Tip Concealer

Whenever I see a concealer that claims to provide perfect coverage, I find it a bit hard to believe without seeing this 'perfect coverage' with my own eyes. Which is why I decided to try out and review The SAEM Cover Perfection Tip Concealer. Among everything else, it claims to provide "light finish & perfect coverage". Lets test it out & see how it performs.

This is what the shade #01 Clear Beige looks like. It comes in a neat & simple packaging, which is also quite small to make it easy to carry around. However, it actually contains a decent amount of product! In fact, more than my Klairs concealer does. Which means the SAEM's packaging is way more compact, but includes the same amount of product as other concealers!

I decided to test it out on my hand, where I have 2 small birthmarks, to see how well it covers them up. To mimic a "real life" situation I applied some foundation first and then the concealer to hide the spots.

Compared to my lightweight foundation, this concealer provides an excellent coverage. It has a light formula that's very smooth and blendable. However, it can be a bit transparent, so it doesn't provide as high coverage as a cream concealer would, but it's very pigmented for a liquid concealer!

So this would be a great choice if you're looking for a medium coverage concealer that doesn't feel too heavy on skin. I've also been using it to conceal dark circles and it works well for that.

Another bonus is that it doesn't have a strong scent, which Korean concealers often have.

Lastly, to give you some sort of shade comparison, here's what the shade #01 Clear Beige looks like next to some well-known foundations I own.

It's less warm than MAC NW15 & looks more similar to Klairs bb cream that comes in one shade. It's considerably lighter, though, which means it's probably most similar to Bourjois N51 Light Vanilla & 3CE Fitting Cushion Foundation in #001.

In conclusion, I'd say The SAEM's Cover Perfection Tip Concealer is a great liquid concealer and I would warmly recommend trying it out! Especially if you've been interested in the SAEM or Korean makeup in general.

  1. I have this concealer in natural beige but I find that it's slightly orangey for my skin tone - might have to try out this shade instead. I agree with the coverage it provides though and for the cheap price, imo it works as a dupe for a few higher end concealers too :)

    1. Ooh, the Saem seems to be quite popular I see! The one I have definitely doesn't have an orange undertone, so maybe you should try it! ;)

    1. Yes, it is! I've seen people swatch several liquid concealers like that and none of them cover 100% everything. I guess they would look super unnatural and unblendable if they weren't like that!
