Men Want Better Skin Too: Homme Terrior All-in-One Review

Men's grooming products are a rapidly growing market. Although men could definitely use the same skin care products I usually talk about on this blog, it's nice to see they also have their own man-friendly product selection to choose from that among everything else includes bb creams for men.

This month, I agreed to review another product from Homme Terrior's skin care line called Homme Terrior All-in-One, fully knowing my boyfriend will be the one doing the testing. It's a relatively unknown product, but I'm sure you would agree, it's also a real pretty one!

All the shallow promotion aside, I also got it's ingredient list to analyze, in case any of you are truly interested in obtaining this beautiful product for yourself or as a gift for a male. So let's start with that.

Description: Balances skin and keeps it ideally moisturized. Due to it's superb quality, it will make you feel relaxed and comfortable.

Volume: 120g.

Ingredients: Water, Iceberg Water 1000ppm (0,1%), Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Alcohol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethylsilane, Glycerin, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Adenosine, Alpha Bisabolol, Propanediol, Myrothamnus Flabellifolia Leaf/Stem Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Algae Extract, Soluble Collagen, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Glyctrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Disodium Adenosine Triphosphate, Algin, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sclerotium Gum, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Arginine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance. (View on CosDNA.)

Obviously, 0,1% of iceberg water isn't much, so this is something they have probably included for marketing purposes only. However, I don't think it actually makes that much difference whether it's normal water or iceberg water in your product anyway.

Other than that, the list is filled with skin beneficial ingredients. Apart from all the plant extracts, it's also rich in in vitamin C as it contains alpha bisabolol, ascorbic acid, citric acid and lemon fruit extract, which among everything else mildly exfoliate skin. There are also a few commonly used acne triggers in this list, which shouldn't be a problem unless you have a specific sensitivity to them.

Not gonna lie, I also tried it out, because the ingredient list seems promising. It feels good and the way it spreads is also quite interesting (see the photo on the right). It's lightweight, but hydrating, so I suppose it's good for oilier skin types. It has a very manly scent, though, so I can't really see myself using it. However, according to my boyfriend, it is great. Here's a short review he put together.

Homme Terrior All-in-One Reviewed by Mr.Yukitty

- Absorbs quickly without leaving a visible occlusive layer.
- Makes skin super soft & refreshed, also balances skin tone.
- Seems to slightly reduce the appearance of pores after application.
- Also works quite well as an aftershave, but not as well as my Nivea one.
- I really like the scent.
- All in all, it's a great lightweight moisturizer.

My editorial note: The All-in-One is quite strongly scented, but compared to Nivea's Post Shave Balm, the fragrance is significantly less overpowering. According to Mr.Yukitty, it could also replace an aftershave, but it's not the most soothing one he has.

I usually like to put my products' soothing abilities to test by letting him use them as an aftershave, though, and this All-in-One performed better than my Cosrx lotion, for example.

Lastly, he doesn't have a visible face oilyness issue, so he can't comment whether this product can or cannot hold off oil.

Where to buy?
Homme Terrior All-in-One + Bb Cream Set is available on Gmarket for $32. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if they can be purchased separately.
