Brand Focus: Jungle Botanics

Jungle Botanics hair care products

In the past, I have never been very picky about my hair care products. I used to wash my hair with random shampoos, usually with whatever was on discount at the moment. However, that all changed when I tried a Korean shampoo from Daeng Gi Meo Ri last fall. It made such a huge difference to my hair, I had to analyse it's ingredients to see what made it so special. Turns out, it didn't include harsh sulfates!

(P.S. If you'd like to learn more about sulfates and what's the most foolproof way to tell whether a shampoo is good or not, read my post: How To: Pick A Shampoo Based On It's Ingredients.)

So when Wishtrend offered their affiliates the opportunity to try their newest brand Jungle Botanics, I quickly analysed the ingredients of these products as well. A sulfate-free shampoo? Application sent. This is how I came across these two beautiful products!

"Jungle Botanics' mission is to replenish natural energy and return balance to your skin and hair by using revitalizing elements found in nature, and in turn restoring the natural, healthy state of your hair."

Now that I've been using this brand for a few weeks, I must say that I'm totally smitten with their products! I really think they have nailed their mission. Not to mention, the scent of these products is absolutely amazing and the packaging is very pleasing aesthetically!

Jungle Botanics' products are also sulfate-free, silicone-free and packed with natural ingredients and a patented combination of plant extracts called the AMAZON FOREST COMPLEX.

Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo

Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo - The biggest change I noticed after I started using sulfate-free shampoos, is that I don't need to wash my hair as often anymore and it seems to be much healthier too! This particular shampoo also has a cooling effect and a sweet minty scent, which is fairly unusual for a shampoo, but very enjoyable in my opinion!

Julge Botanics Forest Leaves Warming Treatment

Julge Botanics Forest Leaves Warming Treatment - It's always nice to find a conditioner that is nicely packaged and priced appropriately. However, I must say that I didn't notice a 'warming' effect when using this treatment, it's still a good product nevertheless!

Lastly, both of these products are available for purchase at Wishtrend. You can get the set for $35.82 or purchase the products separately paying $22.90 for the shampoo (250ml) and $16.90 for the treatment (200ml). You can also use my referral code 14731603 to get $5 off your first order!

Have you tried sulfate and silicone-free hair products already?  If not, give these products a go and see how they help to improve the condition on your hair!

  1. I keep seeing about these in Wishtrend's newletters and on youtube! It looks super cool but man that is some pricey shampoo... I've always used sulfate free shampoo so I'm not sure if I'd be able to tell the difference but I try to keep my shampoo as close to chemical-free as I can! I already get so scared with pollution, smoke, dry shampoo and hairspray so try to keep it simple at home ya know ;-)

    1. I guess it is kinda pricey since there's only 250ml of product in it, but it doesn't run out that quickly, since I really only need to use it every 2-3 days haha.

  3. Minty scented hair products are LIFE. I tried this Innisfree hair set (shampoo and conditioner) back when I still lived in Seoul, and it was so amazing. One of the best shampoos I ever tried for sure - gonna repurchase it soon. Shower needs to be a refreshing moment and I think resorting to minty products makes it even fresher.
I had never heard of Jungle Botanics but their packaging is SO pretty! Definitely makes me wanna try!

    1. I've never tried a shammpoo from Innisfree, but you certainly made me curious about it now! I think it would be fun to try it for comparison. :)

  4. This sounds amazing! I'm not gonna lie, I never really pay much attention to shampoos either - I try to get something with either Keratin or a good oil, but I don't look as far as seeing if it has these harsh chemicals. I might have to be a little more proactive in future!
